Slow Progress is Still Progress. Refection of the year 2020 #pinkwednesdays

As the year is coming to an end, I started to think back to the last year 2019, where I thought 2020 was going to be the year of tunnel vision and feeling optimistic about achieving goals and dreams. Based on a post I did beginning this year, I made up a list of goals I wanted to do to better myself. I listed goals such as planning my day, reading more, and practicing yoga not only to stay consistent but to give myself a positive push.

When the news broke out about a world pandemic back in March, and we had to stay inside, I felt my goals were not going to be complete, and I had to find another way to push myself. I started to doubt myself and did not see what my purpose was with blogging or the career change I wanted. However, I continue to blog, continue to believe in things I can achieve, whether in the house or not, because this is what I love to do.

Being in quarantine forced me to sit down and plan what I want and how can I achieve my goals one step at a time. Within 2 months of staying in the house with my family, I learned a lot about myself and my growth. I did at least 2 of the 3 things I listed in the post I made. I learned the importance of planning my day and staying organized, prioritizing myself, and staying healthy. I have been reading business journals and looking for ways to improve my blog professionally. I also learned the value of my worth, and I believe I deserve, a better job, better pay, a better life for myself. Thinking small and being scared won‘t get me far with achieving my goals. I will say I’m so proud of myself for coming this far, even if it is a small win, I feel like a champion.

With 2021 right around the corner, we have to remember to count our blessings, appreciate the small things, and it's okay to take some steps to get to the big goals. 2020 was a challenging but teachable year for most of us when handling situations when things get tough. 2021 is a new fresh chapter; we are ready and prepared to start with everything we learned in 2020. I hope whatever happened this year motivates and pushes you to become a better version of yourselves and to celebrate the little wins every day.

Thank you all for reading my blog. Tell me what little wins you celebrated this year, and what are your goals for next year?

Happy New Year, loves!
